Each camp is broken up into 2, 3 or 4 groups depending on camp size.  These groups are coordinated by camper age and each is assigned medical staff and counseling staff.  Games and crafts are tailored to meet each groups capabilities and needs.  Diabetes education is also taught age appropriately with a different topic discussed each day.  Big group games, guest presentations and mealtimes are spent together as a whole camp.  Camp Discovery & Camp Confidence have a pool, however water games are played at every camp.

Most medical supplies such as: meters, needles, strips and insulin are supplied during camp.   Pump supplies are not supplied.  Medical staff are trained on many of the pumps available, as well as some camps have pump specialists attending camp as staff.  We are always looking for volunteer medical staff.  If you know someone who is willing to help out, please have them contact me.  Camp cannot happen without the help of our wonderful volunteers!
